Smart and inclusive co-development of coherent regional CCAM services in Ljubljana region (Regional)
Context
Located in the centre of Slovenia, the Ljubljana urban region (LUR) has the biggest concentration of knowledge and creative potential in Slovenia as this is where the key state, scientific, research, educational and cultural institutions are based.
Owing to the large number of companies and jobs, the region generates more than a third of Slovenia’s GDP, while also attracting around 120.000 daily commuters (in great majority with cars).
In order to improve the acceptability of innovative policy options, Regional Development Agency of Ljubljana urban region (RRA LUR) actively cooperates with all 25 regional municipalities, including the City of Ljubljana (Slovenian capital).
Despite multiple strategic mobility documents (12 of LUR municipalities having local SUMPs document, having regional SUMP accepted in 2018, and various other strategic policy document) the overall acceptability and inclusion of CCAM is not yet in place. City of Ljubljana is also included in the100 climate neutral cities action.
Objectives of the demonstration
Preparation of broader list of participating parties, stakeholders and policy makers within Ljubljana urban region being a core observation ground for project activities on CCAM;
Overview of main segments for planning, designing and developing potential future acceptance of CCAMs in the Ljubljana urban region;
Preparation of workshops with main regional stakeholders and interested general public to discuss and support the fair deployment CCAM systems and services within Ljubljana urban region;
Renovation of Sustainable urban mobility plan of Ljubljana urban region (SUMP LUR) to also include CCAM system and services within its proposals for long-term policy improvement.
Broader communication with regional stakeholders and mayors of municipalities to consider policy support for future CCAM development and cultural acceptance of such measures.
Expected outcomes
Co-creation with the public on CCAM and addressing potential policy documents updates to increase acceptance of CCAM in the longer run.
Preparation of a White Paper on CCAM within the Ljubljana urban region.
