Decreasing road congestion by co-developing CCAM services and marine shuttles in Eilat (Regional)

Context

Eilat is situated in a desert area on the slopes of the Eilat Mountains from the west and the Gulf of Eilat on the East. Eilat has two roads that lead to the city. The main road coming from the North and another smaller road coming from the West.

Eilat has no traffic lights, as the city has decided to use only roundabouts. Eilat also has roads leading to the border crossings with Egypt and Jordan.

The road to the South Shores and to Egypt, as well as those in the hotel area, are prone to congestion. The North entrance to the city is also busy, often experiencing jams during weekends and holiday periods.

Due to the hot weather, people do not walk long distances and primarily rely on taxis and cars. Public transportation is used mainly by residents.
